Clean Eating Porridge

What’s the difference between oatmeal and porridge? I had to google it too. Porridge is any kind of hot cereal that could be made with rice, cornmeal or oats. So oatmeal is a kind of porridge, but porridge is not necessarily oatmeal.

Also, bears eat porridge.

Whatever it is, it’s quick and it’s great for your morning meal. Make it in the morning and enjoy it hot or make it at night and enjoy it cold (after stirring in some more almond milk).


  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3 TBS chopped dried fruit
  • 2 TBS chia seeds
  • 1 TBS maple syrup
  • 1 TBS almond butter
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Dash of dried coconut


1. Chop your dried fruit and set aside

2. Bring almond milk to a boil

3. Add rolled oats to boiling almond milk, stirring together for about 2 minutes or until the oats take on a paste-y consistency. Then add chia seeds.

4. Add almond butter, maple syrup and dried fruit. Quickly stir together and place in your serving bowl. Add a dash of cinnamon and a pinch of dried coconut to the top. photo-2

5. Bam. Breakfast.
