Fab Fit Chicago is a resource for your Chicago Fitness needs. We work mornings, nights and weekends taking fitness classes at studios across the city and trying the newest fitness trends as soon as we catch wind of them. and try the trendy workouts. We’ll try anything once.
Meet the two ladies behind the madness:
Jeana Anderson: Owner/Operator
She spends her mornings, evenings and weekends trying to get a workout in and spend her days at Cramer-Krasselt working on the PR team. Jeana launched FabFitChicago.com in 2012 after moving away from her gym and in with her
boyfriend fiance, finding herself in a fitness rut. She was wasting hours a day on a treadmill and seeing no real results.
She decided that she hated everything about the cardio room and went off in pursuit of a way to stay fit that had nothing to do with an elliptical machine. She found herself excited about fitness again and committed to never get stuck in a rut again. She committed to trying one new class a week. Since starting the blog, Jeana’s had the time of her life in the gym (seriously, she loves push-ups) and she’s been able to become the instructor at Bridal Sculpt.
Kristen Geil: Running Editor/General Fitness Contributor
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Kristen moved to Chicago in 2011 and received her MA in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse from DePaul- while trying to maintain her southern accent. Kristen grew up playing sports, and since moving to Chicago, she’s fallen in love with the lakefront running path so much that she decided to run a couple half-marathons. She’s also learned to love group fitness classes such as NTC, Barre, Tabata and Spinning (despite only learning how to ride a bicycle at the age of thirteen. It’s a touchy subject). In her spare time, Kristen likes to eat lots of fruits and vegetables, watch Kentucky basketball, write funny recaps of The Bachelor for her friends and karaoke. By day, Kristen is a Digital Content Writer/Blogger for an Internet Marketing firm in The Wicker Park/ Bucktown area, which makes her feel very hip.
